This collaboration, part of a joint Proof of Concept, brings Airbus a robust, secure, and versatile environment that supports distributed software development while maintaining stringent data integrity standards.
The Airbus Collaboration: A Secure, Streamlined Development Solution
At the heart of this collaboration is an in-depth understanding of Airbus's unique needs and challenges. By closely collaborating with Airbus's IT and engineering teams, Honeysuckle crafted a solution designed to facilitate complex development scenarios for distributed teams across Airbus. The Honeysuckle Bubbles solution is based on Kubernetes and allows developers to spin up tailored development containers equipped with automatic role-based access deployment, meeting both security and operational requirements.
Developers now connect to their development containers, their "bubble", securely via SSH or an HTTPS and OAuth2 (two-factor) process. This configuration not only enables seamless, web-based interaction but also supports automatic deployment of databases, volume-mounted datasets, and API key provisioning—all while ensuring high-level security and convenience. Users simply log in, select a suitable preset, and start coding instantly from any machine, without the need for installations or handling sensitive credentials.

Security remains a top priority, and Honeysuckle Bubbles is built to meet Airbus's stringent requirements. Each workspace is secured by default, with access limited by role and permission. Once a task is complete, the bubble pops and the workspace dissolves, leaving behind no vulnerabilities such as passwords or other sensitive data.
